Some tips for doing this…
🚪 Find a door with the right measurements or like us, be prepared to cut the new door down to size OR custom build your own
🚪 Include a window for visibility while driving. Some doors come with, ours didn’t so we installed a salvaged RV window
🚪 If using a wooden door make sure it’s sealed properly to avoid rotting or swelling
🚪 Don’t toss the old school bus doors – we were able to sell ours easily for a bit of extra cash
🚪 Be patient while building the frame/door jamb for your new door – our metal sidings were rounded so this took a lot of finessing and patience… it’s difficult, but not impossible!
